Candice Jansen
CEO Heads up Communications
Candice initiated her marketing career with several courses, all focused on marketing and communications. A graduate of Cape Technikon, Damelin, and the AAA School of Advertising, she then joined the SABC (South African Broadcasting Corporation), working at Good Hope FM as an Assistant PRO. After cutting her teeth for three years in the world of marketing for the media at this popular regional radio station, she went on to join a USA based radio station on an exchange programme.
Consolidating her passion for radio, she returned to South Africa to P4 Radio, where she co-ordinated all publicity and promotions for the station for over two years. She initiated many innovative on-air competitions, promotions, arranged sponsorships, co-ordinated conferences, outside broadcasts, major events and was responsible for much of the external marketing of the radio station.
In June 2001 she joined the Cape Town Festival, bringing with her considerable media contacts and experience. She was quickly promoted to the position of Marketing Manager, where she drove the merchandising, branding, media and marketing of the event. She was responsible for all festival publications, from DTP to print and worked with the advertising and PR agencies appointed to market the festival. |
